Aux Revoir, Faux Bois

I got a new, grown up job a few months ago and I ditched my old, punk rock bag for a new number. The new bag had a fake finish that looked like wood, which was kind of cool looking for about five minutes until it started flaking off everywhere but mostly on my ass. I see an angry letter materializing in the near future.

So I have come to a compromise of sorts where I will
use my punk rock bag but remove all buttons. Also, why did I keep a toothbrush in that bag? Whore! No, I'm kidding. I'm just prepared. Because you never know when you might need to brush your teeth.

Which reminds me, at my last show I was up onstage, bantering about my merch and I said, "I also have some buttons that say Hot Bastard and who wouldn't want to wear a button that says Hot Bastard?" So this chick in the front row said, "Who would want to wear that?". Totally sassy. Just because I have a microphone and sound louder than you doesn't mean I can't hear you. I can so let's keep it classy. I will not hesitate to go back to my punk rock roots on your ass.

Review, nephew

Yes, that's right. The reviews are in and I rule. The Owl Mag gave me an "At Least Visit Their MySpace". Success. Special thanks to Danielle Kramer, who wrote the review. Here's a choice quote:

Cristina's voice is firm and reassuring, like that of an old friend who plays sparse guitar and writes honest lyrics... The Heated's message is simple: take the time to snap your fingers along to a good song, watch out for hypocrisy, and always remember, "Everything can be used again."

Below is a picture of the review... because I have Photoshop so, why not?

I'm not embarassed

Ok, maybe I'm a little embarassed to admit this but I love those stupid air-dancing hippie looking things. I know that they're lame ok, but just look at them dance.

Dance like the wind, my long-legged friends.

So of course, I also loved this and wanted to share it with you.

Four months of furniture classes

... and I have finally produced something. Behold my spoon.
Also, I think yesterday was officially my release date for the album as that is the day my new business partner, CD Baby, made that sucker live. You can order it in physical or MP3 form by clicking the cover. How modern am I?
THE HEATED: The Heated e.p.
So, you know... today is pretty good.
